Welcome to Hedgehog Class
Welcome back after a lovely half term, I hope you are all ready to enjoy your last half term in Year One!
In English we will be starting to learn about a new story 'Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig'. We will be sequencing the story and using this to role play different significant events. We will also be writing a character description about the Big Bad Pig, looking closely at his personality. This will then support our learning for the following week when we will be creating our own bad character and planning our own version of the story.
In Maths we will be learning about multiplication, we will begin to understand how to create arrays to help us find the answer. We will also be using our knowledge from the week to problem solve. Next week we will be learning about the inverse of multiplication which is division.
We are continuing our topic Holidays Then and Now, but we are focussing more on identifying physical and human features that can be found at
the seaside and in our local area.
Our KIRF this half term is to recall multiplication and division facts for the 2 times table. I wonder if you could recall some facts at home?
