Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 1 Trip to Wisley Gardens – Friday 26^th June

Our Science topic this half term is Pollinators, in order to develop the children’s understanding of this topic we will be visiting Wisley Gardens on Friday 27^th June.

The coaches will be leaving school promptly at 9:00am, so please ensure that you arrive at school at 8.45am. We will be returning to school in time for the normal collection time. The children will return to their classroom with the staff prior to being released from their usual pick up point. 

The children must wear school uniform and bring a suitable coat with them, along with a sun hat should the weather be nice. Children can wear trainers to be more comfortable. Please also note that the children do not need to bring any spending money on the trip.

As you will be aware, all children in the lower school are entitled to a free school meal. For the trip, packed lunches will be provided by the school, but you can appreciate that these will need to be pre ordered in advance. Please indicate on the reply slip below firstly whether you would prefer to provide your own packed lunch, or if you wish the school to provide one, make the appropriate selection.  Please provide your child with a small clearly labelled backpack/drawstring bag to store their lunch and water bottle. They need to be able to carry this all day.

We are very fortunate that the PTA have contributed towards the trip, so there is a slightly reduced cost to parents/carers of £10 per child.  We understand that this is a voluntary contribution however, if we do not receive sufficient contributions the trip will not be able to go ahead.  Online payment is made via the School Gateway app, by Monday 8^th June.

If you are able to volunteer to accompany us on the trip, please fill in the form below. Names will then be drawn and teachers will let you know as soon as possible.

Please return your permission and dinner choice slip to the school office NO LATER than Monday 8^th June. Please be aware that your child will not be able to attend the trip if the permission slip is not received.
