Welcome to Hedgehog Class

Dear Parents,

Please find information below on the children's learning for this week;

English - using inspiration from The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle children will be writing thought bubbles for the characters, retelling parts of the story and writing their own story on the journey of a seed.

Maths - children are looking at patterns when counting in 2's, 5's and 10's then applying the rules in resolving multiplication and division problems.

Phonics - we are consolidating all learning of phonics (up to phase 5) in order to apply spelling rules.

PSHE - we are discussing relationships.

Music - we are using the glockenspiels to create rhythm and beats to the song Your Imagination.

PE (Wednesday) - we are learning athletics.

Science - this week children will be introduced to our new topic on plants.

Reminders:

  • We go outside everyday, please provide your child with the appropriate clothing to support this.
  • Children need to bring water bottles to school everyday, along with their reading record books and reading books.
  • PE is every Wednesday, please send your child in their PE kit.
  • Please order your child's school dinner online.
