Governing Body Diversity Data
We believe that a diverse governing body is essential for effective school governance and reflects the rich diversity of our school community. We are committed to ensuring our governing body includes a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
To achieve this, we actively collect diversity data from our governors on a voluntary basis. This data includes, but is not limited to, information on age, gender, ethnicity, and other characteristics that are relevant to our local community. Governors have the right to opt-out of sharing this information, and we will not publish any data that would identify individuals.
The data collected is used to:
- Inform our recruitment strategies to address any gaps in representation on the governing body.
- Adapt our practices to ensure all governors can fully participate and contribute their unique perspectives.
- Identify areas where training and support for governors might be beneficial.
- Inform our understanding of the diverse needs of our school community.
