Beaver

🌟 Welcome Back Beaver Class! ðŸŒŸ

I’m thrilled to welcome you back from a refreshing break, and I can’t wait to embark on this exciting new half-term of learning and discovery together!

During the second half of the Spring term, we will explore two new English books, "Farther" by Grahame Baker-Smith and Lewis Carroll's renowned poem "The Jabberwocky," while also writing sequel stories and nonsense poems, respectively.

In Maths, our focus will shift to decimals and money after finishing fractions.

In Geography, we will explore the human and geographic features of the country of Madagascar.

In Science, we will study living organisms and their habitats, with an emphasis on classification and interrelationships.
In PE, we’ll be learning the skills of netball under the expert guidance of a sports coach towards the end of the term.
In Spanish, we’ll be learning Spanish words for family, practising speaking and listening in a fun way.
In DT, we’ll be learning about seasonal foods.
In Music, we’ll continue learning how to play the recorder, moving on to new notes.

Our PE days will be on Tuesdays, so please ensure you come dressed in the correct PE uniform: black trousers/shorts, white top, black hoody and black trainers. No jewellery and long hair tied up. Please remember to bring a light jacket / coat in case the weather turns chilly / wet.

Our library session is on a Tuesday as well.

There will be a weekly spelling test; please assist your children in studying for this.  Don't forget spelling and Mymaths homework, which will be set every Friday.
