Badger
Autumn 1
It has been an exciting first term in Year 2 and you have settled in really well, getting to know the new routines of Badger class and the different layouts of the furniture! Did you enjoy Camo Day? It was very interesting and you looked great in your camouflage clothes. This week in Maths we will be continuing to learn about adding and subtracting and how important it is to know your number bonds to 10 - they come up in everything. In English you will continue to write the story of "Jim and the Beanstalk" using the repeated story language from the original book. The illustrations in the book are really funny aren't they? This week will also be fun because you are making a mode of transport from Lego using moving parts. I hope you enjoy it.

Reminders
PE will be on a Thursday afternoon, so come to school ready for lots of exercise and fun. Remember the PE kit is a plain white T shirt or the school PE top and plain black shorts or tracksuit bottoms and plain black trainers.
You will also visit the library on Thursday afternoons where you can choose a lovely new book to take home and share with your grown ups.
Please remember to bring your reading book and diary to school every day, so that we can hear your lovely reading.
Drinking lots of water throughout the day is really good for you and helps your brain when you are learning, so don't forget to bring in a named water bottle every day. Everyone in school looks really smart in their College Town Primary School uniforms, but they are all the same, so make sure yours has your name on it.
Thank you
