As a school we provide a number of learning platforms which will be invaluable to the children at this time. There will also be expectations set out on the website for daily learning and tasks from these sites will be included.

For this half term, our history focus shifts to Monarchs. We will be learning about William the Conqueror, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II. In Science, we will be looking at plants and how they grow.
In English, we are focusing on fiction writing. We will be looking at the Lighthouse Keeper's stories. In maths, we will be learning about measuring length and height in metres and centimetres.
We will be listening to some reggae music in our music lessons and in RE we will be exploring Christianity. PE will have a multi skills focus and our Jigsaw lessons are based on Relationships. In Art, we will be exploring work by William Morris and replicating our own versions. We will be using the new Surface Pros in our Computing lessons; learning how to access programs independently. We will be using PowerPoint (with the help of some KS2 children) to present our learning about monarchs.
- Please can you make sure that all the children’s uniform, especially cardigans and jumpers are named and that they have a named water bottle in school every day.
- Reading books are changed on Mondays, but please send them into school every day as the children may also read on other days. The children have set independent reading days (note stuck in Reading Diaries). They are more than welcome to bring in reading material from home on their set days to share with their group and read during the session.
