World Book Day
I hope you are all looking forward to World Book Day this week and have decided who your favourite character is. If you don't have a copy of the book, don't worry! It is going to be a really fun day!
In English this week you will be starting a new book called "The Flower" by John Light which is a very interesting book which we hope you will enjoy.
In Maths you will be continuing with your learning on measuring, using the correct mathematical vocabulary when talking about height, length, mass, capacity and temperature.
In the afternoons you will be doing Computing, learning how to log onto a laptop and using the internet safely to find information. You will then use this information in a simple PowerPoint.
Please bring your reading book and diary to school with you every day so that we can listen to you read.
You should also bring a bottle of water with you every day in a named bottle - please carry it separately from your reading books to keep them dry.
Please make sure your school uniform has your name on it.
PE happens on a Thursday afternoon in Year 2 so don't forget to wear your PE kit that day.
We will also visit the library on Thursdays, so if you'd like to change your book, remember to bring it with you. These books are for you to enjoy with your child and read with them. Please note that your child will not necessarily be able to read them independently.
