Badger
Week 5
We will be finishing working with "Flower" by John Light this week, continuing to use it as inspiration for your non-chronological reports on plants. The second half of the week will be a little bit different. I'll not say anymore so that it is a surprise for you.
In Maths you will continue to learn about measuring length, mass, capacity and temperature.
In the afternoon this week you will be starting your work on the geography of the United Kingdom. In this you will be learning the names of capital cities of the four countries of the United Kingdom and the seas and oceans around our country. There might even be some singing involved, to help you remember!

Reminders
Please bring your reading book and diary to school with you every day so that we can listen to you read.
You should also bring a bottle of water with you every day in a named bottle - please carry it separately from your reading books to keep them dry.
Please make sure your school uniform has your name on it.
PE happens on a Thursday afternoon in Year 2 so don't forget to wear your PE kit that day.
We will also visit the library on Thursdays, so if you'd like to change your book, remember to bring it with you. These books are for you to enjoy with your child and read with them. Please note that your child will not necessarily be able to read them independently.
Thank you.
