Welcome

Welcome to College Town Primary School

I am delighted that you are either considering, or have decided, to become part of our school community. I am confident that the information enclosed will help you to feel secure that College Town Primary School is the right school for your child to become the best that they can be.

We never underestimate the trust that parents & carers afford to us and we see ourselves as partners with you in your child’s future success. We look forward to working with all of our parents and carers, recognising that you are your child’s first and lifelong educator, but knowing that together we can achieve more.

I firmly believe that education in the primary years should encourage an enjoyment and enthusiasm for learning and is critical in developing confident and eager learners. It is during these early years that children develop their own identity, sense of self, their sense of others and the ability to overcome challenges. At College Town Primary School we never forget this and continually strive to ensure that every child develops the self-confidence, self-discipline, enthusiasm, motivation and resilience to become successful in all areas of their life.

Through our relentless focus on quality first teaching we expect every child to leave our school competent in reading, writing and mathematics, preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey, but also with a desire to learn more.

Although the school has a strong focus on developing Maths and English skills we fully support the holistic development of our pupils and ensure that through well-balanced, relevant and motivating curriculum children develop the essential knowledge and skills to become independent and interested learners. The school fosters a fully inclusive ethos and celebrates individuality, enabling children to develop their social, moral and cultural awareness, necessary for them to be successful members of the 21st century.

Finally, as a parent myself, I know just how precious our children are and will never forget how much trust I invested in the teachers who cared for them each day and the difference that good teachers make. I can assure you that as a school we pride ourselves on our ability to care for your child, as well as to teach your child.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school with any queries you may have.
